About Laura.
I live with my husband and three kids in Stillwater, Oklahoma. I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner by trade and a writer by passion. I have been writing excessively since I was a young girl. I’ve got a permanently calloused finger to show for that. I’ve enjoyed honing my ability to take important, sometimes difficult, topics and write content that gets to the heart of the matter and makes an emotional impact on readers.
I’ve been a nurse for over 10 years, working in the hospital, home health, wound care, quality improvement, ambulatory care, and managed care settings before finding my home in the behavioral health field. I love helping others explore and process their moods, anxiety, and grief and working with them for better tomorrows.
